Orange County Deputies Report Meth, Cocaine and Gun Seized in Traffic Stop

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A traffic stop by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office led to the arrest of a man deputies say was carrying methamphetamine, cocaine and a firearm.

The agency said members of its Community Oriented Policing Squad and K-9 Nala stopped a vehicle for an unspecified traffic violation. During a search of the vehicle, deputies reported finding 27 grams of methamphetamine, 7 grams of cocaine and one firearm.

Freddie Thomas Jr., 33, was arrested. In a public statement, the Sheriff’s Office described Thomas as a 14-time convicted felon. An accompanying agency arrest graphic lists allegations of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell or deliver, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Details not yet released

The Sheriff’s Office post did not identify the road where the stop occurred, the reason for the vehicle search, the date and time of the stop, or Thomas’ bond status. Court records and a charging affidavit may provide additional details as the case moves forward.
