Information you provide
CFL Report collects information visitors voluntarily submit through contact and tip forms, including a name, email address, phone number, message or video link. We use submitted information to evaluate news tips, respond to messages, operate and secure the website and meet legal obligations. A submission is not confidential unless CFL Report expressly agrees to protect it.
Site operation and security
The web host and security tools may process technical information such as an IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, referring page and time of access. This information is used to deliver the site, diagnose problems, reduce spam and protect the website and its visitors.
Advertising, analytics and cookies
Advertising and analytics partners, including Google AdSense and Google Analytics when enabled, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar technologies to measure traffic, prevent fraud and show personalized or non-personalized advertising. Google and its partners may serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this and other websites. Embedded videos and social media
Some articles include click-to-load videos hosted by Meta or Facebook. The embedded player does not contact Facebook until a visitor chooses to load it. After loading, Meta may receive information such as the visitor’s IP address, browser or device details, cookies and Facebook account activity under Meta’s own privacy terms. Each article also provides a direct link to the original Facebook post.
Your choices
You can block or remove cookies through browser settings and manage personalized advertising through Google’s controls. Where the site displays a consent message, its controls can be used to accept or reject the choices offered there. Blocking some technologies may affect embedded media or other site features.

Reader services and submissions
If you choose to subscribe to CFL Report email updates, WordPress.com and Automattic may process your email address, subscription status and delivery activity to operate the service and prevent abuse. Subscription messages include confirmation and unsubscribe controls. If Jetpack audience measurement is enabled, Automattic may also process device and usage information for site statistics.
News tips, corrections and contact messages may include your name, email address, phone number, city, location, event date or time, article or media links and message. CFL Report uses this information to evaluate and verify submissions, respond when appropriate, protect the form from abuse and maintain newsroom records. A one-way value derived from the submitting IP address is held briefly for rate limiting. Messages may be processed by the site hosting and email-delivery providers and are retained only as long as reasonably needed for newsroom, security and legal purposes. CFL Report does not sell subscriber or submitter contact information.
