Orange City Begins Three-Month Citywide Water-Meter Replacement
ORANGE CITY, Fla. — Orange City began a citywide water-meter replacement program Monday, Aug. 10, with work expected to continue in sections for approximately three months, according to the city.

National Metering Services Inc. is completing the project. City officials said replacing meters every 10 to 15 years helps maintain accurate readings and reliable utility infrastructure.
During each visit, a technician will document the existing reading, replace the meter, verify water flow, check connections for leaks and restore the work area. Technicians will knock before beginning. If nobody is home, they will leave a door hanger explaining that the meter was replaced.
Residents and businesses do not need to schedule appointments or be present. Customers are asked to keep meter boxes accessible and clear of vehicles, landscaping, dirt and other obstructions. Work-area signs will move through the city as crews progress. Questions may be directed to National Metering Services at 1-888-448-0009.
